Soultana Vasileiadou received her undergraduate degree in Automation Engineering from the Department of Automation of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus in 1994. In 1998 she completed her postgraduate studies (Master of Science Degree in Information Science and Technology (M.Sc. in Information Engineering) with a specialization in Control Systems from the City University of London and later on she received her Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) from the same University in the field of Systems and Mathematical Modeling with dissertation on the subject of "Evolution of Systems, Modeling and Control Concepts in ancient Greece". She has worked as an automation engineer in companies such as Siemens SA and she has taught for a number of years as a laboratory and scientific associate at the Department of Automation of the TEI of Piraeus. In 2014 she was elected as a Lecturer with specialization in "Automatic Control Systems - Simulation and Applications" at the Department of Automation Engineering of Piraeus University of Applied Science and in 2018 she was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of "Automatic Control: Simulation, Applications and Historical Development" at the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering of the University of West Attica. She is co-author of educational books in the field of Automatic Control and the History of Automatics and member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Association of Research on Ancient Greek and Byzantine Technology (ΕΔΑΒυΤ)
