The University of West Attica is committed to supporting students who, for various reasons (social, financial or health), are prevented from participating equally in the academic activities required by their studies and completing them by obtaining their degree. The barriers faced by students may be due to physical/physical disability or impairment (visual, hearing, mobility, other serious disabilities), developmental/mental disorder (learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, mental illness), social reasons (vulnerable groups: LGBTI students, students-parents in single-parent families, students-prisoners, migrant students), economic reasons (low income, unemployed), or a combination of the above.
The University services undertake supportive actions for these students such as:
Furthermore, the departmental Academic Advisor of the Students with Disabilities is the link between them and (a) all the faculty members and other teaching staff of the Department, as well as (b) the Department and UNIWA services with which the Students with Disabilities interact (Secretariat, Library, Healthcare Services, ERASMUS Office, etc.). In addition, Academic Advisor of the Students with Disabilities informs and raises awareness among the other students of the Department in order to support the Students with Disabilities in their studies on a voluntary basis. More details about the institution of the Academic Advisor FMEA are reflected in the Department's Academic Advisor of the Students with Disabilities Regulation.

- Identification and adaptation of assistive technologies,
- Counselling and psychological support,
- Accessible digital learning materials

- Volunteering - Education - Awareness raising,

- Financial support for disadvantaged students to combat dropout,
- Provision of appropriate equipment.
