The Research Laboratories are the main axis of the research carried out in the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering and in general in the School of Engineering and the University of West Attica.

The main goal of the Research Laboratories of the Department is the development of scientific research with the simultaneous production of high-level knowledge in the cognitive fields in which they operate.

In particular, the aim of the research conducted in the Research Laboratories of the Department is the development of know-how, innovative technological processes and

original methodologies for designing new products that can be the subject of further research development and industrial application.

Each Research Laboratory supports at the same time, the educational activities of the Department at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level, in the most modern and efficient way.
