The External Advisory Committee of the Industrial Design and Production Engineering Department, at the University of West Attica, consists of distinguished members from academia, research, and the business sectors, who provide high-level voluntary support to the Department.
Its primary role is to contribute to the design, evaluation, and continuous renewal/updating of the structure of the undergraduate and postgraduate programs of study,
- by expressing opinions and offering advices on:
- the learning objectives and the professional rehabilitation needs of graduates,
- teaching methods,
- market needs not currently addressed by the existing programs of study,
- the level of the current programs compared to similar programs in Greece and abroad, and
- proposing actions towards:
- improving the department’s standings (both nationally and internationally),
- fostering academic collaborations, research and development.
The purpose of the External Advisory Committee is to i) to contribute to the department's strategy planning and its relations with the academic community and the labor market for the next two to four years,, ii) provide proposals for revising the department’s Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs of Study, iii) assist in identifying business, community, and economic opportunities at local, regional, national, and international levels, iv) assist on identifying research projects and other initiatives, and v) promote and disseminate the department’s efforts as a development-driver at local, national, and international levels.
The current External Advisory Committee of the Industrial Design and Production Engineering Department was established by its General Assembly’s decision on April 10, 2025 (Act 13/10.04.2025), and its members are:
