At TU Dresden, we are looking for eleven highly qualified PhD students in different engineering fields, such as Textile Technology, Polymer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
Within the Research Training Group (RTG) 2430 "Interactive Fiber Rubber Composites", we are researching fibre-reinforced composite materials including structurally integrated actuator and sensor networks. It aims at the simulation-based development of smart material combinations to create switchable soft-stiff-fibre-rubber- composites.
Especially in the subprojects 1 (SP 01) and 2 (SP 02), we are looking for skillful students with textile engineering background. Please find the job description in the enclosure “Cherif_9WIMI_eng_w24_194_AUTEX.pdf” as well as the details of the subprojects (“SP 01_cohorte III_EN_final.pdf” and “SP 02_cohorte III_EN_final.pdf”).
The remaining seven positions at the TU Dresden and the two positions at Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung IPF (“SP 03_cohorte III_final.pdf” and “SP 04_cohorte III_EN_final.pdf”) are from the areas of Mechanical Engineering (measurement technology, thermo-dynamics, lightweight engineering), Electrical Engineering (sensors, actuators, automatic control), Materials Science (elastomer processing), Chemistry and Physics, or Modelling and Simulation.
We offer in total eleven 3-year positions with full salary (4388 €/month gross in first year and 4700 €/month gross in second and third year ).
